In my last post, I mentioned that one of my staple, travel supplies, is a small zip-loc bag. Here is a quick tip to make cleaning your turp can easy. I use this method both when I travel and in my studio. The small-sized zip-loc works equally well in my large, studio-sized container.

2. Dirty odorless mineral spirits |

3. Remove center brush washer |

4. Remove old zip-loc bag |

5. Zip up the old mess |

7. New zip-loc |
![]() |
8. Insert it into the can |

9. Press bag to the bottom of the can |

10. Fold the sides of the bag out |

11. Ready to replace the brush washer |

12. Place brush washer in before adding spirits |

13. Press brush washer back into place and fill with spirits. |

14. Seal the clean can |
